today was quite the day.
started out by oversleeping my alarm 30 minutes.
made and drank amazing coffee while i studied for a while.
and then....the adventure began.
10:51 - run out of my apartment to catch the bus. praying i make it.
10:54 - wondering if i missed it.
10:55 - bus stops to pick me up. i was not prepared for what was about to meet.
25 homeless men. 3 available seats. i pick the ones nearest the door. and sit down on the edge of the seat next to an older man in his hooded sweatshirt and stocking hat and sunglasses.
"Hi. my name is Doug. What is your name?"
"nina."
"where are you headed?"
"to work."
"where do you work?"
"seneca."
"oooo... going my way."
--PRECIOUS silence.... i put in my ipod.
"what do you do?"
"im a secretary."
"what time do you get off?"
"5"
-- seriously, im trying to keep my ipod in so he gets the hint. not working out for me.
"what days do you work?"
"i work every day."
"ooo... thats good. at least someone does."
--SHUT up! youre starting to creep me out!
"are you ready for christmas?"
"uh huh." lie!! :)
"are you excited about thanksgiving?"
"yes."
"can you cook?"
"kinda... not really."
"oo... i bet you can. can you cook me something?"
"no."
"can i have your phone number?"
firmly- "no."
"i'll give you mine."
"no!"
"you wouldnt call me?"
"no."
--praying: dear Jesus, i know we talking about loving on people that you meet throughout the day, but im a girl by myself on a bus full of homeless men. jesus, seriously? what am i supposed to do?? im scared.
"whats your name again?"
"i already told you."
"i forgot."
"too bad."
by this time my heart rate is through the roof and im like, seriously, getting off the bus NOT at my normal stop. but i just decided to. and i have my ipod in. but i turned it off so that if anything happened i could hear. i seriously PRAYED this dude didnt get off the bus. what if?? what would i do?? i was freaking out! i heard the bus leave and i turned around and there was a dude standing on the other side of the road. he went the other way and i have no idea who he was or if he even got off the bus... but that was enough to make me practically run to work!! every 100 ft turning to look behind me to make sure i was not being followed.
so, my luck always wins. i walk past this asplund truck with two guys chipping limbs. still checking to make sure this creeper is not following me.... i pick up two more creeps. i think me turning back to make sure no one was following me was not the best plan, cuz maybe they thought i was checking them out or something. :( so... i just ran to work!
but...came out later to put something in the mailbox and asplund had made their way up the street and they were two doors up and i made eye contact with them. and they got to the office and needed permission to trim our trees off the powerline and who would be the only one to answer the door... me. yep. oh my! im serious.
needless to say... i was seriously creeped today. praying that tomorrow is NOTHING like today.

now for a few happy things...... :)
>> found out i was 18 months older than one of the guys on my list of one guy that i would go out with. (well...thats actually kinda sad.)
>> david poking his tummy out and rubbing it like he was pregnant.
>> bumper sticker: CAUTION - I drive like a Cullen.
>> free AMAZING food.
>> ice cream cone face.
