i just listened to this testimony of this ex porn star who met Jesus... wow. literally, shes high on meth and she picks up her bible... her life is a wreck... and Jesus just reaches out to her. she starts making good choices, but seeing the evidences of Gods grace in her life were so encouraging. Jesus doesnt expect her to get her life together before he loves her, he just wants her to choose him. shes still addicted to alcohol and Jesus is freeing her from stuff, but she talked about reading her bible with the bottle in her hand. filling her life with truth and Jesus and working the bad stuff out... Jesus just gave her the desire to obey him in the MIDDLE of all the crap in her life.
it was hard to listen to all that she had been through, but shes on fire for Jesus and loves him so much. she was talking about how Jesus has called her to preach the Gospel to people and she made the comment, "its not about ability, but availability."
in my own life, i feel like i pick and chose who God can show grace to and who he can love. i think things like, "God cant be workin in their life if they are still doing ____." but hey, maybe he is workin and he just hasnt gotten there yet. :) and anyway, who am i to make a call on someones life whether or not God is working. seriously. Jesus loves people to Himself. he doesnt just love people when they get their lives together...
